Use the word in brackets and put them into the simple past passive.
Grammar rules
The passive voice of the simple past is formed using the past tense of to be (was or were) and a past participle (the third form of the verb).
The computer was repaired by the students.
The witnesses were interviewed by a reporter.
Make sure to use the correct form of the past participle for irregular verbs, just as you would with active verbs.
The car was stolen in broad daylight.
Do not confuse the passive form of the simple past with the active forms of the past progressive (with the -ing form) and the present perfect (with have).
We were helped by the police officers. (Passive – Simple Past)
The police officers were helping us. (Active – Past Progressive)
The police officers have helped us. (Active – Present Perfect)
