Exercise - Comparison of Adverbs

Please note the following rules for forming the comparative and superlative forms of adverbs:

• For adverbs ending in -ly, the comparative and superlative forms are formed using more and most.

• Short, irregular adverbs that have the same form as adjectives (hard, late, fast, etc.) are formed using -er and -est.

• These adverbs have irregular comparative and superlative forms:

well – better – best

badly – worse – worst

far – farther/further – farthest/furthest
