Exercise - Future Progressive or Future Perfect (FI)

You use the future perfect tense to describe an action that will already be completed by a specific point in the future.

It is formed with will + have + past participle (third verb form). The phrases by … or by the time … are often used with the future perfect tense.

They will have finished the work by tomorrow.

By the time we get there, they will have sold all tickets.

You form the future progressive (also known as the future continuous) using will + be + the -ing form of the verb. It is used for actions that will still be in progress at a specific point in the future.

I will be driving to London this time next week.

The future progressive can also be used to talk about events in the future that are already fixed – we expect them to happen.

We will be meeting again next Friday.
