Complete each sentence with the present perfect passive of the verb in brackets.
Grammar rules
The passive form of the present perfect is formed with have/has + been + past participle (third form of the verb).
They have been asked the question before.
The book has been translated into Spanish.
As with the active form of the present perfect, make sure to use the correct form of the past participle for irregular verbs.
We have been told to stay inside our houses.
Caution! The passive form of the present perfect is often confused with the active form of the present perfect simple (have + past participle) and the present perfect progressive (have been + -ing form).
All of the tickets have been sold. (Passive – present perfect simple)
My parents have sold their old car. (Active – present perfect simple)
The store has been selling trading cards since summer. (Active – present perfect progressive)
